Britain's largest and most spectacular garden centre, Bridgemere Nursery & Garden World lies on the beautiful borders of Cheshire, Staffordshire and Shropshire. Established fifty years ago by John Ravenscroft as a one-man band rose nursery (who once lost his entire crop to cold), Bridgemere now covers 50 acres and is one of the largest garden centres in the world.
With a nursery growing nearly a million plants a year and six acres of themed, award-winning show gardens, its horticultural credentials are impeccable, as shown by an impressive collection of RHS medals and gardening accolades. 65% of the plants are grown on site in a range that is literally second to none and outstanding gardening achievements include relaunching the rare and famous old dahlia, 'Bishop of Llandaff'.
Superb shopping in a huge undercover area ranges from gardening products and gifts to clothes and toys, whilst our excellent restaurant and Garden Cafe serves delicious home-made food. Ever-changing entertainments include guided garden walks, play in the park events, workshops, and seasonal demonstrations and there are plenty of fun children's activities to inspire the gardeners of the future, including wildlife trails, outdoor play area and indoor soft play area. It all makes a visit to Bridgemere an unbeatable day out for all the family
Second Sunday of every month
Food producers are being invited to exhibit their goods at our farmers’ market.
We have lots of established stallholders who keep coming back every month and prove very popular with our customers, but we’re always on the lookout for more.
Displaying at the farmers’ market costs £25.
We will have more than 20 of the finest producers from across the North West selling wares to thrill your taste buds. There will be lots of food products on offer, including sausages, bacon, olives, jams, chutneys, savoury pies, wines, cakes and pastries.
From October onwards there will also be a variety of new producers on-site selling a range of deli items such as bread, cold meats, cheeses, houmous and pate, as well as fresh fruit and vegetables.
Visitors will also be able to sample many of the products on offer including cooked sausages and burgers before they make any purchases.
For fun and informative events throughout the year, look no further than your local garden centre. From helpful talks on growing your own fruit and vegetables and encouraging bees and wildlife into your garden, to flower arranging and falconry - there really is something for everyone, and we guarantee a day to remember for the whole family.
Little Diggers Kids Parties are just the thing for growing imaginations.
