North West Craft Market & Classic Car Show – Press Release
16 / 17 June 2012
National Waterways Museum, Ellesmere Port, Cheshire
10am – 4pm
We will be holding the first North West Craft Market and Classic Car Show to be held at the national Waterways Museum on the 16th and 17th June.
Fun for all the family over the weekend, there will be a selection of classic cars and motorbikes from local and national clubs along with an array of craft stalls selling various quality products from local craft sellers, items such as soaps, jewellery, plants, cards and lots more. A fully stocked bar and café will be available on both days. All stalls will be held indoors, hence ideal day out even if the weather is against us.
On both days there will be a collection of rare DRK classic cars, these cars were built in Ellesmere Port
The D.R.K first originated in the UK in 1984 and was first unveiled at the Cheshire Kit Car show in May 1986. As the car proved to be a success D.R.K went into business. The name D.R.K derives from the car’s designers and builders; Derek Callister, Robert Callister and Keith Hamer. All D.R.K vehicles were built to a basic specification but were individually tailored for each customer. They left the factory with a fully built and painted chassis with all the components needed. It was then up to the customer to install a suitable engine and gearbox.
Production of D.R.K vehicles stopped in June 1998 after having manufactured 59 cars.
There will be a great range children’s entertainment such as rides, face painting etc
The National Waterways museum has kindly offered the whole museum as the backdrop for our event, the event is being held to raise funds for 3 local charities. (1)The RSPCA (Wirral and Chester Branch), (2) The Hospice of the Good Shepherd, (3) The national Waterways Museum. All funds raised over the two days will be split equally between the 3 charities. The whole museum will be open to explore on both days hence a full day out for all the family.
Why not treat your father on fathers day to a great day out.
There will be ample free parking at the event
