A new community café has created a warm and welcoming meeting place for patients and their families at a much-loved local hospice.
Local Assembly Member Lesley Griffiths visited the recently opened ‘Caffi Cwtch’, which is also providing Nightingale House Hospice with a sustainable source of income.
Caffi Cwtch was opened in September by the Welsh Government’s Cabinet Secretary for Health, Wellbeing and Sport, Vaughan Gething AM.
As well as visiting the new café, Wrexham’s AM Ms Griffiths met with Chief Executive, Steve Parry to discuss plans for future expansion, as well as the wide range of services offered by the hospice.
The facility on Chester Road provides care and support to patients and their families through various forms of treatment, therapy and support.
After her visit, Lesley Griffiths AM said:
“Nightingale House Hospice is a treasured cornerstone of our community, which offers a wide variety of palliative services for people from in and around Wrexham.”
“Caffi Cwtch is an excellent new addition to the hospice which can provide a valuable new source of income. All are welcome to attend and I believe it will help bring the local community closer together by offering patients a break and a chance to relax in comfortable surroundings.”
